'He's a superstar'

DANNIE MORGAN and the outstanding Fever Tree (Foundation x Dayano) stormed to the Bret Willson advanced medium gold title on 77. 25%, reaffirming their status as one of Britain's most exciting partnerships.

"I was wowed by the score it's probably the best test I've ever done with him," Dannie said. "He's a superstar who's proved time and again what a good horse he is. It puts more pressure on me, because I just have to do my bit."

That ability has developed with experience.

“When we were at the winter championships, he was just coming seven, so still a bit green and not as established in the changes,” Dannie said. “This year, he's done quite a lot - he went to Verden for the World Breeding Championships and was fourth in the small final. That's a much harder level, nearly prix st georges, so he is well established now.”

Verden, said Dannie, was a turning point.
