One jockey records a stunning 48 hours in the saddle, while others secure impressive double wins
CHERRY COWARD and her team celebrated a neat double with horses at opposite ends of the experience scale.
Olivia Rogers was delighted to record her first pointing victory in the ladies' open, aboard the reliable 12-year-old Ballydonagh Boy. The Le Fou gelding is a firm favourite at the Coward yard.
"He's a little superstar. He loves pointing and always tries his very best," commented Cherry's daughter, Sam.
Ballydonagh Boy showed little under Rules for his previous trainer Pauline Robson, so it was decided he would step down a grade. He has since proved an ideal schoolmaster, providing several aspiring jockeys with valuable experience.
"Liv fancied giving pointing a go and Ballydonagh Boy is the ideal horse; he really looks after his rider," added Sam.
