Dettori reverses decision to retire from race-riding

The celebrated Flat jockey was to hang up his boots at the end of this year, but will now move to the US to keep racing

THREE-TIME champion Flat jockey Frankie Dettori has reversed his decision to retire.

The 52-year-old had said he would hang up his silks at the end of this year, but has announced that he will go to the US to take up opportunities there and elsewhere.

“I am simply not ready to retire completely,” he said. “I’m still enjoying riding and I want to carry on for a while on the international circuit.”

Frankie said the decision had been playing on his mind after he rode so many big winners this summer.
