British championship squads and national winners named

The 2023 endurance and driving championship teams have been chosen, and national endurance titles awarded

THE British combinations for the European Endurance Championships have been announced – as new national champions are crowned.

British Equestrian and Endurance GB confirmed the British horses and riders who will compete in Ermelo, the Netherlands, from 4–9 September. James Dickinson takes his own Magdy, Fiona Griffiths her own Balishla, Rebecca Pinder will ride Amanda Kettlewell’s Oso Irazu, Nicola Thorne her own LI Wallonia with Dayway Stream Bliss as reserve, and Carmine Villani will ride his own Bayla D’Alluech. The travelling reserve is Linda Cowperthwaite with Everlyn Helme’s and her own Krakatau.

The team has championship experience – James, Rebecca, Nicola and Carmine represented Britain this year at the World Championships and Fiona Griffiths was on the 2015 Europeans squad.
