aides as “Duchess Difficult” – a demanding employer with a Hollywood ego who expected staff to bend over backward for her at all hours of the day and night.

So spare a thought for the army of nannies who have paraded through her doors since she and Prince Harry welcomed Master Archie Mountbatten-Windsor in May 2019.

“When Archie arrived, Meghan became even more micromanaging,” admits a source with knowledge of the duchess’ childcare arrangements. “She wanted to do everything herself, but soon realised she needed the extra pair of hands back when they were in the UK as Harry was always so busy with his royal duties.
