From a disagreement about a professional decision to jealousy over promotions, our workplace can quickly become tense with conflict. Amanda Holden and Phillip Schofield are two people who know that more than most.

The pair has been embroiled in a bitter – and very public – spat after reports suggested that it was Phillip who scuppered Amanda’s dream of hosting This Morning while Holly Willoughby was off down under filming I’m A Celebrity.

Amanda recently spoke about their feud, admitting she’d offered to take Phillip out for a friendly chat in order to discuss their professional relationship. ‘I texted him recently, but I didn’t get a text back,’ she explained.

Phillip later posted on Twitter saying he was saddened to hear such ‘hurtful and wildly untrue stories’. But what’s the best way to handle a work relationship that’s turned sour? And can you really come back from such a rift? Woman investigates…
