The end of November and you probably find yourself in a frenzy of diary juggling and present buying, with to-do lists coming out of your ears. me? my only Christmas commitment will be to sit outside a Berlin cafe, knocking back hot chocolate, wondering whether I fancy some culture or a stroll. on the day itself, I’ll read, relax, see a movie perhaps – anything other than the traditional rigmarole of sweating over an oven, arguments over the stuffing, and dozing in front of the Queen.
