A reader shares how her husband died on the way to picking her up from a function

ONE day I had a function at work and asked my husband to pick me up because I knew I’d be drinking. I called him earlier to ask if I should rather catch a lift from one of my colleagues who stays closer to us, but he refused, saying he would love to pick me up.

HE MADE ME WAIT

When he left the house, he called me to inform me that he was on his way. I patiently waited for him while having a drink with my colleagues. After an hour of waiting, I called him to find out where he was, but someone else picked up the phone. When I asked to speak to him, I was told that he got into an accident.
