How Leleti Walked Away From Mbongeni

CELEBRATED actress, Leleti Khumalo, has once again spoken out about her failed marriage with actor and playwright Mbongeni Ngema. In a frank interview on Real Talk With Anele, Leleti told host Anele Mdoda how she woke up one day and decided to walk out of her 14-year marriage with Mbongeni. The couple met while filming the movie Sarafina. At the time the two hookedup, Mbongeni was a married man but the two had an affair before getting married in 1992.

UNHAPPILY MARRIED

Leleti, who plays MaNzuza on SABC1’s Uzalo,opened up about how she stayed in an unhappy marriage with Mbongeni because she wanted to please people.

 “I lived my 14 years of marriage for people. I wanted to please people and I stayed,” she said in the interview.
