We are all programmed to believe that if a guy acts like a total jerk, that means he likes you. Is it really so? What if he is being a jerk because that is just who he wants to be around you? What if ‘no’ really means no, and there are no luring signs of a ‘yes’ behind it? And what about the reactions of a girl? How do you tell if a girl is not that into you? There aren’t any bro bibles out there to tell you when to stop and unfortunately, the brouhaha is all about ‘not giving up on love’ because the determined always finds his way. And then there is the whole concept of ‘dazzle her to win her’ that is so overrated. The society wants you to wear a Richard Gere mask in ‘Pretty Woman’ and unleash diamonds, limo and private jet rides on women. So here is my first and foremost advice, if a woman expects you to chase and bankrupt yourself in the process, she is DEFINITELY NOT THAT INTO YOU.

So, are you waiting on the line to be chosen as ‘the one’ by the woman of your dreams? Has she safely tick marked you on the ‘friend zone’ treating you like her very own punching bag she hits on hard, and tiredly hugs at the end of the day to deal with the stress? Or are you her ‘friend with benefits’ and you shower oodles of pleasure hoping someday she will accept your unconditional love?

Dear friend, it’s time to break free. When someone is not ‘that’ into you, they leave behind a trail of signs, little red flags hoisted with their free will in various uphills of your relationship. Often in life, cupid shoots arrows aiming two hearts and obliviously misses one. The solution is to carefully pluck the arrow out and let your heart heal.
