Egypt Looks To India To Revive Tourism

Egypt is not a new destination to Indian travellers. So, what are the steps that you are taking to make the Indian travellers more aware about the products that the country has to offer?

We do a reminder about the iconic parts of Egypt, like the pyramids, the sphinx, and all that the Indians and the world know about Egypt. We remind travellers of these places standing there for the last 7,000 years and are now calling you to come experience them. The atmosphere of Egypt is not limited to the pyramids, statues and temples, but extends to the cultural diversity, the gourmet cuisine and the local community interactions. Also, we have introduced new products like golfing, safari, diving and snorkelling – those things which attract the new generation. We also wanted to highlight the possibility of creating a fusion between the cultural tours and the seaside tours. We focussed on the tours which gather at Cairo, a luxurious one which is the classic tour and Hurghada representing the seaside part of the tour. This is interesting for the families with children, as sometimes the young ones aren’t happy to see stones for the whole day. If you give them 2-3 nights in Hurghada to enjoy snorkelling, diving and all other sports they can do there, it adds value to the trip. Egypt is more than monuments and statues; it is also more than life, it also offers shopping, spa, luxury, gourmet delights and nightlife in one package, making Egypt as an optimum selection for those who want to have a memorable trip.

The growth seems to have continued in the second half, too, and looks certain to continue into the next year as African nations proactively seek to diversify their source markets, with focus on India and China.
