G-Shock has shocked (this is the only pun we swear) us all over again with its new lineup. Let’s strap up!

If you’re a 90s kid or even an 80s kid, the nostalgia express has hit you already when you laid eyes on the image to the right. Yes, it is the icon and the dream watch of every kid on the block back in the day. Well now those kids have grown up and so has this beauty of a watch.

The new GA series focuses on keeping the rugged industrial design at the epicentre of it all. It is striking, bold and its 10 distinctive sides represent an industrial nut. There are six variants in the lineup, each with different colours and combinations. We got the 900C which has a stunning, bright orange strap with an all-black watch face with orange highlights surrounding it.

The face is quite busy. The top left has the ‘seconds ticker’ and on the right is the display that shows you what mode you are in, which comes in real handy while you’re jabbing away at the buttons and want to navigate around quick. The main display is at the bottom and it’s all black again which does make it a task to read under direct sunlight when you give it a quick glance over.

In terms of features, the GA 900 gets ‘World Time’, ‘Timer’, ‘Alarm’ (5 of them with ability to snooze one) and “StopWatch’ apart from displaying the regular Home Time. Like old times, you can directly start the StopWatch via the ‘Start’ button.
