In 1967, the Gulf Oil Corporation made a corporate decision to go sports car racing. Upon doing so, Gulf immediately applied heavy financial and marketing support to a GT40 race team owned and operated by J.W. Automotive Engineering Ltd. They were spectacularly successful in the World Sportscar Championship, and especially at the 24 Hours of Le Means, which the JWAE outfit won in both 1968 and 1969. It’s no surprise that the Powder Blue (color code #P030-8013) and Marigold Orange (color code #P030-3393) GT40s left an immediate impression on the racing world.

If you have a lot of time in the saddle and are comfortable with jumping, then these sections can be a lot of fun. Two years ago, I had the wild idea to focus our entire 2015 feature film on two-stroke dirt bikes, and the original Premix came together in a perfect storm of ideal circumstances. It was a whirlwind, but Jordan Powell and I filmed and edited the entire movie in only a few short months.
