NORTHERN Diamonds talent manager Courtney Hill has hailed the blend of youth and experience that has propelled her side into today’s Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy final.
Diamonds topped the North Group with five wins from six matches and face unbeaten Southern Vipers at Edgbaston in what is set to be a gripping conclusion to the domestic women’s season.
“The playing squad is a really brilliant mix of experience and youth, of crazy ones and quiet ones, of learners and mentors such as Jenny Gunn,” said Hill, a former Brisbane Heat bowler who combines her cricketing commitments with captaining Leeds Rhinos rugby league and was named Woman of Steel in 2019.
