The German is seven goals away from setting a new record for goals scored in the World Cup, but he’s not the kind of player you’d expect to go chasing that.
I’m very excited about the World Cup because it’s not every day that you get to watch the best countries in the world play against each other. There’s a lot on display – the strategies, the tactics and a lot of new, young players – and I’m looking forward to seeing them fight it out. This might sound cliched, but Germany, Spain and Brazil are the strongest squads this year. France and Belgium, too, have very talented teams on paper. And England looks fresh and is playing without any pressure this time around. If I were to pick a winner, it would be from among these teams.
