THE PLACE
The name speaks for itself. The Grityard is a place where you may (or may not) need sheer grit to get yourself through the workout. It is essentially a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) gym where the sessions are designed to give you maximum benefit in minimum time.
Based on five basic pillars of human body functional output – Endurance, Speed, Power, Core and Strength – the programming at Grityard incorporates the essence of these five pillars condensed into quick, time-efficient 30 to 45-minute sessions. From the complete beginner to the elite athlete, this system caters to different fitness levels and body types.
Located in the Medical Alumni Association building, Grityard is on the second level via this flight of stairs when you walk into the lobby. Be warned – these stairs might be the bane of your existence on leg day though!
The nearest MRT station is at Outram Park, which is just a short walk to the gym.
