We are one week into the 2023 ICC ODI World Cup. Looking at the points table after week 1, New Zealand were on top of the points table with four points from two matches. India and Pakistan also had the same number of points after having played two games each. However, the Kiwis were on top due to their superior net run rate (+1.958). India are second with (+1.500) and Pakistan third (+0.927). South Africa began their World Cup campaign with a thumping 102-run win over Sri Lanka. They were fourth after week 1, while England were fifth with one win and one loss. Looking at the second half of the points table, Bangladesh were sixth with one victory and one defeat. They were followed by Australia, who went down to India. Sri Lanka, Netherlands, and Afghanistan were in the bottom three, with two losses from two games.
