Michael Vaughan, the former England captain and now commentator, has stuck his neck out and predicted that India could be staring at a 4-0 white-wash in the Test series down under. While others have been more conservatively suggested that there is a stronger Australian team on the show, is there merit to believing India cannot repeat their previous feat?

David Warner’s injury has put a spanner in the works of Australia’s preparations for the four-Test series against India. The build-up in the lead to the big showdown was Australia’s show of strength in the return of their two primary batsmen, Warner and Steve Smith, who missed India’s last tour due to the yearlong bans on them as a result of their involvement in the ball-tampering incident in South Africa in 2018.
