The Indian Premier League's motto is "when talent meets opportunity," and the league has shown to be a talent hub. When the league first began in 2008, one of the key goals was to identify, support, and assist young Indian cricketers, but this was viewed with mistrust, if not outright contempt. In India, cricket has grown into a game that is preached. It is not only played on a broad scale, but it has also garnered a large amount of attention due to the most lucrative form of cricket, T20 cricket, which is it's shortest version. People were critical of the league's formation and opposed the concept. After 15 seasons, it is regarded as the greatest T20 league

ever. The IPL has produced some of India's greatest cricketers over the previous decade and has remained the country's most important scouting venture. The IPL is never short of fun, but what has been more fruitful and fulfilling is that we have consistently identified a diamond year after year. This year's TATA IPL has proven to be one of the most intense and competitive in recent memory.
