RHIANNA PARRIS - SMITH - ‘BACK WHERE IT ALL BEGAN'

My main goal this past month was to perform as strongly as possible at the Black Line Open at Derby on 19 September.

It was weird because, despite having had a fairly easy week leading up to the race, my legs didn’t feel that good on the day. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not making excuses – and there were plenty of positives to take from the day. I raced well, my tactics were executed as planned, and I came away with eighth place. The old Rhianna would have written off eighth as rubbish but I’m getting better at seeing the bigger picture!
