Reigning national road race champion Connor Swift made a perfect start to his 2019 domestic campaign, sprinting to a clear victory in the Betty Pharoah Memorial Legstretchers road race in South Wales on Sunday.
The 23-year-old from near Doncaster, South Yorkshire, was one of five MadisonGenesis riders in the race who — with a few notable exceptions — were largely competing against rival outfit Canyondhb p/b Bloor Homes.
