Belgian still building towards Giro d’Italia in May
Belgian wunderkind Remco Evenepoel fired a warning shot to his rivals after he won his biggest race to date at the Volta ao Algarve, where he said he wasn’t yet in his best form.
The Deceuninck-Quick Step rider’s victory comes hot on the heels of his overall win at the Vuelta a San Juan earlier in the month. However, Evenepoel played down what that means for his chances at the Giro d’Italia in May.
