Belgians Beat The Brits In Crawley

Third spot was enough for Ian Field to extend his lead in the National Trophy series, as Belgian riders powered to first and second on a challenging course near Crawley, West Sussex, on Sunday.

Marlux-Bingoal’s Thomas Joseph and Lander Loockx (Creafin-Tuv Sud) were with Field on the opening lap, but the Belgian pair soon broke away to contest the win.

With heavy rain the previous day making for a muddy course, Joseph’s choice of intermediate tyres proved critical as conditions were not as slippery as many expected, with dry conditions for much of the second day of the event, organised by Crawley Wheelers.
