There are some species that just stand out. The Greater Sage Grouse is one of them! Found in shrubland habitats of southern Canada and western United States of America, it is an important ambassador for these specialised habitats, which are in need of urgent protection. The Sage Grouse depends mainly on the sagebrush plant for food all year round, especially in winter when wild flowers, insects and crops are not available.
