USING THE framework of neurobiology, Ralph Adolphs and David J Anderson in their book, The Neuroscience of Emotion, raise pertinent issues like what do emotions mean exactly, whether it can be defined scientifically and where it gets processed in the brain. However, the book is not limited to emotions in humans, but takes into account emotions in other species like rats, thereby paving the way for a greater understanding of how emotion evolved on Earth through natural selection.
