The saga of this divine love is of the Master and a disciple whose names still reverberate in the hearts of all those longing for such divine love. This is the tale of love where when the Master sees a dream, the disciple gears up with full spirits to accomplish that dream. This is a story of love in which the disciple wishes to bring glory for his Master (although the Master's glory is like the Sun and the efforts of a disciple are like a small lamp) and the Master in return bestows immense grace on his disciple, after which, it is the history which sings the praise of the disciple. Such is the saga of divine love of Nimai and Nitai, popularly known as Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda, which imbibes in it all the colours of love– divine attraction, divine vision, divine sacrifice, divine care, and divine selfless service.
Let us first take you to the place where Shri Nimai is sitting in divine thoughts of Lord Krishna. But the outer appearance of Nimai might make you perplexed. This is because the love of Master Nimai for Lord Krishna was so much that he used to forget himself completely. And this divinity appeared to be madness to the people who didn't have the Third Eye– gateway to the direct perception of God.
The same happened with Nitai when he first met Shri Nimai. However, as soon as he exchanged glances with Nimai, the scenario got changed. Now, each and every atom of Nitai got exhilarated. He was stand-still. Eventually, the divinity of Nimai made Nitai realise that his soul has got its goal. In the silence of that divine audience, the doubts related to the outer appearance of the Master got faded. This first meeting, a divine attraction, marked the commencement of the journey of true Bhakti for Nitai.
