Godox WL4B Waterproof LED Light
But it does not get smaller and lighter than the new Godox WL4B which is the premium lighting brand’s latest addition to their vast range of portable LED lights.
The 4-watt WL4B, which is less than 5 cm in height, is a handy accessory for today’s creators, including those relying solely on smartphones, and can easily slip into your pocket. The light is no heavier than a smartphone and can provide a maximum brightness of 1900 LUX. The WL4B can be a great sidekick to all kinds of cameras, from smartphone cameras, newer mirrorless systems, to drones, by aiding photographers to focus in low light as well. Not only is it useful in lighting the environment to some degree, but, it is most effective when the subject is in the foreground or the mid-ground of the frame. The light’s size enables it to be put anywhere while in use, whether on a shelf, a big rock on the ground or can be comfortably held in one’s hand. Additionally, the WL4B is very reliable, as its colour rendering index (CRI) and TLCI are 97, and is a great companion for those discovering the aquatic world underwater, as the IPX8-rated light is waterproof up to a depth of 30 metres.
The WL4B is fairly intuitive to use. A quick 15-minute read of the instruction manual should be more than enough to get started. The light body comes with a Type-C charging port, and two buttons with an up-arrow and down-arrow drawn across them. The light is switched on by pressing the down-arrow or the right button for a few seconds, and it starts at minimum intensity.
