GoPro Hero 10 Black
Asian Photography|March 2022
As you might know that GoPro launched the Hero 10 Black a recently at a price of ₹54,500 in India and we’ve finally decided to review it. We’ve reviewed the previous devices as well and you can see those reviews on our website or on our YouTube channel as well. But as you know that we have a unique style of reviewing things which isn’t really similar to what others do. So let’s take a look at the 10 and see whether or not should you go for this.

New Processor

So first things first, this GoPro now features a brand new processor, the GP2 which is very important since it allows it to do a lot more than what the previous devices could. When the previous GoPro’s were launched, they always featured new things but right from the 6 to the 9 they used the GP1 processor. So somewhere they did have some limitations. But with the new GP2 processor there are a host of new things that the 10 can now do. And with that the performance of the stabilisation, the overall quality and output of the performance is also way better.

You can now see a much better dynamic range, low-light performance, etc as compared to before.

Increased FPS Rate

And the new GP2 also helps with the increased FPS rate and higher resolution. Earlier the device could shoot 5.3k videos upto 30 fps and 4k upto only 60 fps and now all of those frame rates across the board have nearly doubled. For instance, the 5.3k is upto 60 fps and 4k can now be shot at 120 fps. The most common resolution which is the Full HD is still at 240 fps.

Better Touch response

One of the biggest and most noticeable improvement in performance is the really smooth touch response than before. If you are someone who has been using GoPro’s a lot then you would know what I mean. The previous versions were good but they would always have a slight lag when you would touch the screen, or shoot with it. But with the 10 and the GP2 processor, the touch is now nearly like a smartphone and more in tuned to what users are accustomed to with the smart devices of today.

Hyper Smooth 4.0
