The very important principal aspect of the fine art photography is the photographer’s perception (vision). It’s not regarding the real-life or what is happening in front of camera. It is regarding the message and the feeling or emotion that the photographer wants to evoke while someone is observing that picture.

Fine art photography can be very dissimilar from the actuality at times. But you can still photograph the realistic documentary style photographs while doing fine art photography.

Have an artist statement

Before starting a project writing an artist statement is very helpful. A short and sweet explanation about what the project and why you created this project and how. For example, vegetable market and bus stops where you can see people are always in a hurry. For starting, try writing two or three sentence that gives you an overview of your project. It clears your mind about the project. Once the statement is done, it will help you to look for the subject and minimise distractions in your photographs. Artist statement is not needed to be full of technical stuff. Keep it short and sweet.
