Leon hatchback is fun, feisty and very driver FRiendly

GOTTA SEAT TO BELIEVE IT

It was a beautiful Scottish summer morning, crisp but sunny, as I drove down the slip road from Cumbernauld onto the M80.

Normally this can be a bit tricky but in my Seat Leon FR I just put my foot down and within seconds I had slotted into the traffic.

After a swathe of SUVs, it was bliss to be driving such a willing hatchback with a zesty engine under the bonnet and the kind of handling that made cornering a joy. Nothing wrong with the SUVs but this was just so much fun.

The FR adds a sporty touch to the already very attractive Seat Leon hatch with a special bodykit and lowered suspension, which only enhances the performance feel.

It has a long lean nose, a lovely grille front and lines running back to a neat rear with a shark’s fin antenna on top.

It sits on 17in bi-spoke alloys with LEDs and very nice dynamic indicators. Inside, it was exceptionally comfortable with great support in the driver’s seat and a clean, elegant dash.
