Can the Brits come to Hollywood's rescue?
Sunday Express|June 28, 2020
A BRITISH-led cast and director could hold the future of world cinema in their hands with Hollywood’s first summer blockbuster since the pandemic.

Can the Brits come to Hollywood's rescue?

Spy thriller Tenet is due to hit big screens in 37 countries – including the UK and US – on August 12, making it the first major film since the lockdown.

With a budget above £200million, it stars Twilight actor Robert Pattinson alongside American John David Washington and fellow Brits Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh.

It is directed by London-born Christopher Nolan, who also directed Inception and Dark Knight.

Studio executives believe the action-packed, effects-laden film will either pave the way for a massive return by big screen audiences – despite social distancing protocols in place – or signal the beginning of the end of cinemas altogether.
