The AAP govt’s happiness curriculum impresses Melania whose ‘Be Best’ initiative focuses on key issues that children face
On Tuesday, when all eyes will be on Hyderabad House where a joint Indo-US press statement will follow the talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump, visiting First Lady Melania Trump may be making news in her own unique ways.
She is likely to spend an hour at a Delhi government school to attend a ‘happiness class’ and interact with students and teachers.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia, who is also Delhi’s education minister, are likely to give a tour of the school to Melania and brief her about their public education experiment that focuses on mindfulness exercises and good moral lessons and has attracted widespread praise.
She might be shown how students are taught to co-exist with each other in a harmonious way. This will be the first time an American First Lady will be visiting a school in the National Capital.
PREPARATIONS
The name of the school where Melania might go has not been disclosed for obvious reasons. Some Delhi government schools are being spruced up and decorated.
