The Munna Bhais Of Delhi

A year after results of examinations for appointment of Delhi government school teachers were announced, it has been found that 62 “successful” candidates had got someone else to write papers for them.

Investigations have found that these aspirants had paid ₹6 lakh to ₹10 lakh to the touts who appeared in the exams and cleared it. The fraud was unearthed when the authorities in Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB) started verifying the documents of the “successful” candidates before they could join schools.

Mail Today managed to obtain the list and remark of individual candidates from Delhi and NCR cities who had applied for the exam of Assistant Teacher (Primary) level for which the computer-based exam was held on October 7 and 8, 2018 and November 10, 11, 14 and 29, 2018. The results were declared on May 22, August 14 and September 9.

While the DSSSB was preparing to send joining letters to the successful candidates, it found that these 62 candidates had got touts to appear for their exams. Investigations revealed that this fraud happened through organised gangs that are making big money by “rigging” online exams by leaking exam papers and solving it by taking computer systems on remote access.
