‘Maharashtra Will Soon Get A Shiv Sena CM'

Aaditya Thackeray files nomination papers from Worli seat.

Aditya Thackeray, 29, filed his nomination papers for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections on Thursday. He is the first member of the Thackeray family to contest an election.

On his way to the collector office, Aaditya said Maharashtra will soon have a Shiv Sena chief minister. Stoking fault-lines in the Maharashtra alliance of the BJP and the Shiv Sena once again, Aaditya has voiced his interest of becoming a chief minister in future.

Speaking to India Today TV on his way to file his nomination papers from the Worli Assembly constituency, Aaditya said, “We will soon see a Shiv Sena chief minister. For now, I will serve the state as the people expect me to. These people are my assets. I will fullfill responsibility given by them. Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis called wished me for filing my nomination papers.”
