India Won't Give Up On Access To Jadhav

IN A major decision made by the Pakistan government that has raised eyebrows across India, Islamabad has decided not to give any further consular access offer to Kulbhushan Jadhav.

Dr Muhammad Faisal, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, revealed this during a weekly press briefing on Thursday. “There would be no second consular access to Kulbhushan Jadhav,” he said.

The decision comes over a week after Pakistan arranged the first consular meeting between India’s Chargé d’Affaires Gaurav Ahluwalia and Kulbhushan Jadhav in a sub-jail on September 2.

India reacted to the statement from Islamabad saying that they would try to ensure full “implementation” of the ICJ ruling and will remain “engaged” with Pakistan.
