A DAY after a 34-year-old jawan in Leh tested positive for the Coronavirus, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) asked the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) on Wednesday to discourage its personnel from taking leaves.

In a three page advisory, CAPF has been advised to take steps to protect its troops from the COVID-19. The advisory asks personnel to “avoid international or domestic air, bus or train travel for at least a month”.
Long-distance travel is biggest cause of spread. CRPF has postponed all its programme for its anniversary on March 19, 2020.
