Delhi Traders To Shun ‘Made In China' Rajma

Boycott of ‘Made in China’ goods continues across the country, but do you know that China has reached your food plate too? The most-liked dish in all parts of the country — kidney beans (Rajma) — comes from China. In fact, 60 per cent of rajma sold in Mandi Dal, the biggest market of cereals and pulses in Delhi-NCR, is imported from China.

Now, the traders of pulses market in New Market are planning to boycott the kidney beans being imported from China. Manish Singhal, a pulses trader in Naya Bazar, says, “There is a high demand for imported rajma from China in Delhi-NCR, which is why pulses traders order large numbers to import it from China, while Indian rajma lags behind Chinese rajma.”
