Desolate: the City of London’s streets look empty today
COMMUTERS are once again shunning the West End following the start of the new work-from-home guidance this week, figures reveal today.
The number of people in London’s shopping and entertainment district during the morning rush hour peak of 7am to 9am was down 12 per cent yesterday compared with the previous Monday, according to latest footfall data. Monday morning’s total was also 61 per cent below the same day in 2019.
