IT won’t only be local rivalries at stake when Chorley take on 2012-13 winners Wigan Athletic – Magpies boss Jamie Vermiglio’s son supports the League One club!
Vermiglio joked that young Sam will firmly be in Chorley’s corner on what the manager hopes will help raise spirits at the National League North club.
And it’s certainly been the talk of his household even if there is disappointment fans won’t be able to watch in the ground.
“It’s a great draw for us,” Vermiglio told The NLP. “Wigan is a team that’s quite close to my heart. My grandad supported Wigan, he was a season ticketholder, and my little boy supports them, which is great.
