Tea and Coffee Are Just About the Strongest Beverages That We Knock Back During Lunch.

THIS week Lloyd’s of London hit the head-lines but it wasn’t for what you might expect i.e interest rates, inflation or mortgage rates.

This time, Lloyds, which is one of Britain’s oldest financial institutions, attracted media attention after it imposed a drinking ban between 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Staff have been told that there will be rigorous testing and anyone caught under the influence of alcohol, could risk losing their job.

It is understood that some staff are furious with the new rule. Some have taken to social media to vent their displeasure. One obviously devoted employee posted this message- “Lloyd’s used to be a fun place to work,” while another stated: “Will we be asked to go to bed earlier soon?”
