Buyer's Guide - Gretsch White Falcon

Dan Orkin of Reverb.com gets out his binoculars for a bit of twitching, explaining what to look out for when seeking this spectacular bird of prey
As the story is most commonly told, the iconic Gretsch White Falcon was never meant to be built as a regular production model. Gretsch guitar guru Jimmie Webster took a cue from the car industry, building the first Falcon for the 1954 NAMM show like the high-concept ‘cars of tomorrow’ coming from Detroit.
The guitar was a showstopper. Dealers lined up to place their orders, forcing Gretsch to scramble to start building the flashing white hollowbody to meet demand.
