enlighten India: Firstly How do you feel about getting featured on the pages of Enlighten India?

Shannon K: I feel stoked to be featured on Enlighten! It provides an astonishing platform for our audience to connect with us .

enlighten India: So You have started your Singing Journey with English while your latest song Run has a lot to do with Indian culture how was your experience singing and filming Run?

Shannon K: It was an amazing experience creating the song and the video. I had so much fun working with Sean and Maggie on this project. We had such a great vibe and energy in our studio session. When it came down to the music video I was directed under my sister Annabel. She’s so creative with the visuals and honestly some looks which she had chosen, I was a bit nervous to try but she knew exactly how the colors and styles would look on camera. I would say that the idea of combining the two worlds was perfect for this song and I loved showcasing my culture in the music video.

enlighten India: Since your Father is a very popular singer how do you deal with the comparisons being drawn with you?

Shannon K: Being compared to my dad was invariably something I was afraid of and it took me a while to get over the fact that no matter what I do I would end up getting compared or judged by the people despite of being too young to be compared with a legend. but my dad has said that we are completely different from each other whether it’s the voices or genre or the language itself so there’s absolutely no point in comparing the two of us.
