Mercedes AMG GT R: Green with envy

The AMG GT R is proof that Germans have a fantastic sense of humour, as after all what else can explain this bright green wedge of a supercar that outshines a Lamborghini for pure theatre, while having a guttural roar that mimics a racecar.

The AMG GT R then is the most hardcore Mercedes and that comes as a surprise because the same car-maker also makes something called an S-Class. If anything, the GT R is a sign of confidence from AMG and that the performance division of Mercedes has indeed come a long way from the tyre smoking hot-rod cars of its past.
