15th March 1961, Geneva Motor Show. The automotive world has just let out a collective gasp as the Jaguar E-Type has been showcased to the world. Enzo Ferrari famously called it the most beautiful car in the world and one glimpse is enough to understand why.
The E-Type is a master class in design and Malcome Sayer, the man who designed those curvaceous lines, was an expert in aerodynamics along with having experience in working in the aircraft space. He applied those learnings and created a sports car that looks stunning from every angle. The curves and the long bonnet along with the sloping rear is pretty much art on four wheels and since then, this has been a design that has been imitated but never matched.
