Ube Lola, the star of My Pope’s commercial, Bridge, tells us how she loves every acting opportunity that comes her way because of her passion for the craft.

Roberta Daleon—a.k.a. Ube Lola in the showbiz industry—has always wanted to be an artista. For her, acting is not just a pastime. It is her heart’s true desire. When we asked if she wanted to take on the role of Lola Belinda for My Pope’s commercial, Bridge, Ube Lola gamely agreed to be part of this project that brings family members closer together. We sit down with our star as she tells us about her loved ones and her thirst for acting.
Have you always wanted to be an actress?
Aba, oo! When I was about 5 or 6 years old, I would listen to the radio and cry in front of the mirror. Rumarampa din ako sa harap ng salamin. I did not pursue acting then because I lived in the province so I had no way of knowing how to become an artista.
How then were you able to start acting?
