On your start in the game
I started getting interested in the game around three years old. One day I took a broomstick in my house and started to swing, and my dad asked me if I was interested. I said yes of course.
I started hitting balls at the range of my home club, Johor Golf and Country Club (then Royal Johor Golf Club) at age four. By six, I was playing in competitions at the club like the SportExcel tournaments. I won my first SportExcel tournament in the Under-8 category in Penang.
On your passion for the game
While I played football, hockey and badminton in school it was golf that I found I could play well. It’s something about the game, it promotes patience and I like the surroundings. You always want to know more about the game as you grow.
