An innovative fusion of Thai and Japanese cuisine offers unique choices.

Savour Sanoook For A Little Fun

What happens when two of the world’s finest dining concepts are combined? If you consider Thai and Japanese cuisines to be up there with the best, you end up with Sanoook.

Sanoook (being a playful adaption of the Thai word sanook which means fun) is a new gastronomic experience to tantalise the tastebuds of discerning golfers who enjoy being adventurous with their dining habits.

It is one of the first dining concepts in Kuala Lumpur to be inspired by two of the most popular cuisines in the world – Thai and Japanese (Ploy in Damansara Heights has leaning towards this style too).

RESTFUL RETAIL REFUGE

Sanoook’s first outlet (there is a second in Pavilion Elite) is located at the ground floor entrance to the new Sunway Clio Hotel just to the west of Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall. In what could be a new hospitality trend, the hotel has other food and beverage concepts around the ground floor lobby so hotel guests now have an extensive selection of outlets in which to relax.

Sanoook also offers a tranquil retreat for those who need time out between shopping forays into the adjoining mall. Alternatively, drop the family off in the mall and retreat to Sanoook for some real fun over a few beers and tasty pork-free dishes. There is an air-conditioned interior and a shaded verandah for watching the world go by. The restaurant also has a VIP room for 20 diners.

Using authentic Thai recipes from the company’s flagship restaurant Chakri Palace, the chefs have injected a twist in creative presentations of Japanese favourites into the mix with some degree of success.
