WhatsApp has decided to finally end support to older mobile operating system as the year ends. Specifically, WhatsApp is ending support for BlackBerry OS including BlackBerry 10 and Windows Phone 8.0 or older.

Though you will able to use the app on these platforms, but users won’t be able to create new accounts or re-verify existing accounts. The WhatsApp might stop functioning anytime, so it’s better to upgrade.
