WHAT IS IT?

Volkswagen’s made-in-India and first MADE-FOR-INDIA compact sedan. It is based on the Volkswagen Polo hatchback and is powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol engine as well. With the launch of a tailor-made vehicle for India, Volkswagen is aggressively moving forward in the Indian automotive market.

HOW DOES IT LOOK?

Even though the car has been designed for India, it was designed at Volkswagen’s headquarters in Germany. At the first glance, it might remind you of the Polo but it’s the rear where all the prominent changes are. It has a very inoffensive rear design with a boxy-looking boot, squarish- tail lamps and a refreshed bumper as well. To put it simply, Volkswagen has neatly integrated the boot and the Ameo doesn’t look disproportionate from any angle.
