An Italian Icon Takes America
Esquire US
|Winter 2024
Designer Massimo Piombo gets his style cues from all over the world. Now his affordable Piombo collection has finally landed stateside.
MASSIMO PIOMBO IS A LEGEND. THE GLOBE-TROTTING Italian designer started his career in the fashion industry in the early '90s after he hopped over to Scotland to find the mill that had woven the tweed in his grandfather's jacket. Thanks to his iconoclastic streak and a penchant for particular and often expensive fabrics, Piombo has cultivated a fan base of menswear enthusiasts. But there's a good chance you've never heard his name until right now. Despite his status and cult following, he's never quite broken through in the U.S.
That's about to change.
